Job objectives:
The Sales Manager will have to achieve previously determined objectives for his/her region.
He/She will develop the strategic plan for Belgium, in close cooperation with the General & Marketing manager and will be responsible for its implementation in the sales department.
He/she explicitly needs to take the necessary initiatives to strengthen the brands’ position and achieve growth on the Belgian and Luxemburg market. (focusing on the retail channel)

Responsibilities:
•You will take positive initiatives to achieve new business with existing retailers and to generate turnover with new distribution channels.

•As an experienced ‘people’s manager’ you will develop and manage the sales team consisting of 2 Key Account Managers, 1 Trade Marketer and an external sales team and coach them to achieve the previously set goals.

•You will decide upon individual responsibilities, evaluate achievements and correct the course of actions when necessary.

•With your human approach you will develop your team to become “outstanding performers”.

•The candidate will make the sales budget based on the team’s input and with the General Manager’s involvement.

•The sales manager is part of the management team and reports to the general Manager. The candidate plays an active role in developing and fine tuning the company’s strategy.

•You will have scheduled meetings with assigned clients, mostly via sales visits.

•You will make regular sales reports and business reviews for the most important clients.

•You will develop an important network of decision makers within and outside of the targeted companies.

•You will make monthly reports for the management review.

•You will work closely with the marketing department

•You will continue building an international network within the group.

Skills and experience
•The candidate has relevant and successful experience in a Key Account Management job within FMCG (preferably in a brands related environment).

•The candidate has relevant and successful experience in managing a sales team.

•The candidate flawlessly combines commercial flair with a professional appearance.

•He/she has action and result oriented entrepreneurial skills.

•The candidate is a strong communicator and an inspiration to others.

•Curiosity, perseverance and positivism are strong assets.

•The candidate has vision, can prioritize and is decisive. He/she is a problem solver and has strong analytical skills.

•He/she has a network in the retail business.

•Language knowledge: Dutch/French and English. German is an asset.

Degrees:
Master level or equivalent by experience. He/she should be able to work on an academic level.
